Workingmums’ top employer award announced


Lloyds Banking Group took the principal award – for overall top employer – at the 2017 Workingmums Top Employer Awards, designed to celebrate leading companies’ achievements in the fields of diversity and work-life balance.

The judges felt it was a beacon for other employers with regard to its agile hiring programme which was a root and branch attempt to normalise different ways of working from recruitment onwards. 

The awards ceremony was held at London’s Soho Hotel on 7th November with Ann Francke, CEO of the Chartered Management Institute, as keynote speaker.

Eight other category awards were presented.  These went to:

Flexible Working: McDonald’s

Career Progression: Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Best for Dads: Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP

Talent Attraction: Lloyds Banking Group

Family Support: M&G Investments

SME’s with 1-25 employees: Cuttsy and Cuttsy Limited

SME’s with between 26 and 250 employees: Genie Ventures

The Working Mums Champion Award: Dawn Moore, Director of Human Resources at Morgan Sindall
