Vodafone Group Plc and Sony Pictures team up to promote digital careers

 

Back in March 2018, Vodafone launched its Future Jobs Finder tool. It was part of a broader global initiative ‘What will you be?’ which aims to help 10 million young people access digital skills, learning and employment opportunities by 2022.

Now, thanks to a ground-breaking collaboration with Sony Pictures, it’s going to find its way in front of a whole new potential audience in the shape of Spider-Man fans. A core theme of the movie is that anyone can achieve their full potential with the right skills and support. This is also the basic premise of Vodafone’s tool, as reflected in the homepage’s opening gambit of ‘Now anyone can be anything.’

The gamified questionnaire was developed by psychologists, careers experts and training providers, and aims to reveal where the respondent’s potential lies (we were 100% Digital Marketer). The young person then has the choice to either find out what live local job opportunities there are (which are provided by indeed),or explore what courses and free digital training is open to them.

So far, 300,000 young people have completed Vodafone’s Future Jobs Finder tool, which states ‘The future is exciting.’ We really hope it is for this very interesting collaboration.

By teaming up with Vodafone we can engage with audiences using the inspirational power of this game-changing movie while also helping Vodafone to connect young people with digital jobs and free digital skills training.”

Seddoh went on to add, “One of the great moments in the movie is when Peter Parker says to Miles “Don’t do it like me, do it like you,” and this is what we want everyone to take away from this movie and use as inspiration to fulfil their own destiny.”
