Social Media Graduate Recruitment Awards sector finalists revealed

The sector finalists for the 2015 Social Media Graduate Recruitment Awards have been announced, following an online survey of students carried out earlier this month by event partner, RMP Enterprise.

Alongside a series of questions about their use of social media for sourcing information about careers, graduates were asked which organisations in their preferred sectors were using social media to communicate with candidates most effectively.

The results of the survey offer an insight into students’ views of social media use in the graduate recruitment space, and full findings will be shared with delegates of the Social Media Graduate Recruitment Conference in January 2015.

The awards recognise excellence in the use of social media for graduate recruitment purposes. While the sector awards are judged by the student community, a second group of awards will be judged in the coming weeks by a panel of industry experts. The categories for these awards can be seen at the awards website

The awards organisers have called on organisations who have not made the sector shortlists, but who feel they have a story to tell, to take a look at the categories in the generalist awards open to all. The deadline for submissions for these categories is 5 December.

The awards, as well as the Social Media Graduate Recruitment Conference, take place on 22 January 2015. For more information on the conference, or to book tickets for the awards, visit the event website.
