How did you first get into the industry?

I did a very short stint at Trinity Mirror back in 2010, on the now defunct Planet Recruit. It took me 5 years before wanting to return to Canary Wharf. However, I come from a family of recruiters, I spent a lot of my childhood in a rec-con office, helping with filing and later payroll, so it’s always been in my blood!

Would you do the same again?

Definitely, I feel like the industry is constantly evolving and so I learn every day. I’ve always been lucky enough to work with incredibly teams and on some really strong brands.

What would you do if you didn’t do this?

Something creative, I really enjoy painting and baking, but im not good enough to make this a full time job.

Who are your favourite people from the industry?

Whoever is closest to the bar. ;)

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received in your career?

“Integrity is more important than making a sale.” Basically don’t fudge the stats it will come back to haunt you!

And what piece of advice would you give somebody starting out in the sector?

Find the best products and learn everything you can. If you listen to the best sales people you will pick up so many skills that will stay with you forever.

What’s your favourite recruitment ad?

I find the Mi5 ads fascinating and clever... I’ve never got past the first stage!

And what’s your favourite non-recruitment ad?

The skoda cake car... its bonkers.

You’re entertaining industry contacts. Where do you take them, and why?

The Ham Yard is great for drinks. I’m always open to finding new spots!

What are you reading at the moment?

And what are you listening to?

Whatever spotify sends me... usually some guitar based bands.

What’s your biggest achievement – career or otherwise?

Buying a house. As a “Millennial” I never thought it would happen.

What would be your ideal weekend?

A music festival on a sunny weekend.

Three words to describe yourself?

Ambitious, fair, friendly

Your best and worst habits?

Talking about my cats. For both, depending on who you ask.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Awful American TV. My Netflix looks like that of a 13 year old girl.

What has been your worst/most boring job you’ve ever had?

Stocking the freezers in M&S before the store opened – 4-7am.

What single fact would surprise people the most about you?

I’ve won several thousand pounds winning game shows.
