Personnel Today – gone tomorrow

The offline edition of Personnel Today is to cease publication.  The final issue will go out on 29th June. The brand will continue in its online form - PersonnelToday.com - and the Personnel Today Awards are not affected.  Twelve jobs will be lost as a result of the closure, and four new posts are to be created.  Personnel Today was launched by RBI in 1988.  The magazine has 48K readers each week.

sad for people involved obviously but it is fascinating that 22 year old classic industry mag closing down elicits a tiny paragraph and little comment. sign of times....

I too think it's sad that this news is covered in a brief paragraph. Can still remember PT being launched and applauding it because Personnel Management no longer had their monopoly. I've always found the team on PT very helpful, knowledgeable and willing to put forward creative schedules and solutions so I am sorry that people will be losing their jobs as a result. And while it may be great news for People Management, let's hope they don't get complacent and sloppy...
