Oxbridge tops uni league table again

In its latest University Guide for 2020 (published in May), the Complete University Guide has featured its university league table, with Cambridge and Oxford again occupying the top two positions respectively.

The table has been compiled using data from HESA, the National Student Survey, national funding councils and the institutions themselves.  The rankings are based on aggregate scores reflecting ten different measures – entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, graduate prospects, student-staff ratio, academic services spend, facilities spend, good honours and degree completion.

This year’s top ten are:

1. Cambridge
2. Oxford
3. St Andrews
4. London School of Economics
5. Imperial College London
6. Durham
7. Lancaster
8. Loughborough
9. Bath
10. University College London

Each of the Guide’s tables can be sorted by their individual measures, year, region and mission group (including unaffiliated universities).  The full league tables can be viewed here
