One week to go until SoMe Graduate Recruitment Conference and Awards

There’s just a week to go until the 2015 Social Media Graduate Recruitment Conference and Awards, where delegates will be able to hear from industry experts as well as organisations who are successfully using social media platforms and tools as part of their recruitment strategy.

The conference will feature master classes, led by representatives from employers including Allen & Overy, Microsoft and Teach First, which will provide insight into developing social media plans to fit organisations’ attraction strategies, as well as how to incorporate social tools into existing recruitment campaigns.

Attendees will also be given access to the latest research from RMP Enterprise, looking at what students expect from recruiters and how they currently use social channels themselves. In addition, Stephen Isherwood, CEO of the Association of Graduate Recruiters, will provide an update on the current graduate landscape.

In the afternoon presentations will look at what can be learnt from social media’s use in the consumer market, find out what Google has to offer graduate recruiters in their quest to advance their graduate recruitment programme; and see how a leading supermarket is using mobile technology to engage with its graduate target audience.

Mike Roberts, event director, said: “The goal is to offer graduate recruiters the chance to learn about key social media platforms and services, and enable delegates to share best practice.

“With the constant introduction of new SoMe platforms, services and apps flooding the graduate recruitment arena this conference has never been more needed as we continue to see graduate recruiters playing catch up with SoMe-savvy students expecting more than just the standard offerings like Facebook, Twitter and blogging.”

In the evening the awards ceremony will take place, in which a total of 16 awards will be handed out, including the award for best use of Twitter in a recruitment campaign, which is sponsored by Ri5.
