The job board has re-launched its leading Scottish job site,  The re-launch of the site will ensure that CV-Library continues to drive strong applications to clients’ vacancies in Scotland, while also helping candidates across the country to find their next role. This comes at a great time given that the job board’s latest data reveals that advertised vacancies in Scotland were up by 21.2% in May, while candidate registrations also rose by 9.7%.

CV-Library won ‘Best Job Board’ at this year’s Global Recruiter Awards for the fourth year in a row.


Jobs4 has recently expanded its team with two new recruits.  The Jobs4 Network, which was established by Lee Touhig in 2006, has since continued to grow, and is a leader in the UK job board market and a specialist in recruitment marketing events & OOH.

In June, Jack Gallagher was brought in to strengthen things on the Administration and Events side of the business, and aid with day to day operations of Jobs4’s brands, such as, Grads, CityBrand and The Jobs4 Network. 

His appointment was followed by that of Tom Bond at the beginning of this month. Bond joins as an Account Manager and will represent the various facets of the business in London and the South.


The online career development platform has announced the acquisition of the largest independent career video library from CareerPlayer.  The acquisition of CareerPlayer’s 6,000 videos, which have over 15 million views, is part of Abintegro’s continuous investment programme to ensure their Career Centre platform supports the employability needs of education institutions and transforms how students are prepared for an increasingly competitive job market.


The final of ICAEW’s business and accounting competition, BASE, took place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on 28 June.  The initiative provides school and college students with a taste of what it’s really like to work as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.  More than 4,000 students took place this year.

The BASE final concludes a series of online challenges involving around 500 teams from schools and FE colleges across the UK. The panel of judges included business professionals from Depop, Fujitsu and Virgin Media.

Recruit Holdings/Glassdoor

Recruit Holdings announced the completion of their Glassdoor acquisition on 27th June.  Recruit Holdings, a leading Japanese-based HR company, will operate Glassdoor as a distinct and separate part of its growing HR Technology business segment, aligning Glassdoor and Indeed as sister companies.
