UCAS Media

Ucas Media have been accredited with the IAB Gold Standard for Digital Advertising.  The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) is an advertising business organisation that developes industry standards, conducts research, and provides legal support for the online advertising industry.  It launched the Gold Standard Certification programme in January 2018 to raise the standards in digital advertising, and address the key issues facing the industry.



CV-Library was recognised for ‘Most Creative Offline Marketing’ in the generalist category, at the Online Recruitment Awards. This is the fourth year running that the business has received this accolade.  The job board’s creative offline marketing activity plays a key role in cementing CV-Library as an industry leader. This award is testament to the continued success of the business and its impressive efforts to promote and market itself through engaging outdoor advertising.  This is the tenth year running that the Hampshire-based job site was shortlisted for the OnRec Awards. In addition to their win, CV-Library was also nominated for ‘Best Online Candidate Experience’ in the job board category, and Sales Director, Mike Powell, was in the running for Personality of the Year. are excited to have launched their inaugural awards – the Women in Tech Employer Awards 2018. The aim of the awards is to give well deserved recognition to employers that are going above and beyond to help close the gender gap within the IT and Tech sector. The categories include Female Grad Tech Employer of the year, Female Tech Employer of the year, Public Sector Female Tech Employer of the year, Recruitment Campaign of the year, Women in Tech Network of the year and Recruitment Agency of the year. The MJ

Ollie Harrison has joined the MJ recruitment team in London as Client Service Manager. He will be working with clients, advertising agencies and the Executive Resourcing organisations across the Greater London region.

NewStart Magazine

Since the purchase of NewStart Magazine over 12 months ago, publishers Spacehouse Ltd have invested significantly in the redevelopment of the digital magazine. With this work complete they are delighted to announce that Jamie Hailstone has joined NewStart as a senior reporter to work alongside Clare Goff, the editor and her team. This will further strengthen NewStart’s coverage of the neighbourhoods and communities sector, along with our work across regeneration and economic development.

Education Cubed

Digital Marketing agency, Education Cubed, is celebrating after a number of new business wins including a successful pitch process that saw them being selected as lead agency for the University of Gloucestershire.

Along with the new business wins, two team members have also joined the Brighton-based agency. Richard Webb joins as Head of Digital Operations. What he doesn’t know about the world of digital isn’t worth knowing. With experience of working in livery companies in the City of London, fast-paced digital start-ups and private equity investment analytics, Richard brings a deep understanding of all things digital to the team. Martin Bojam also joins as Non Executive Chair. An HE veteran with decades of agency experience under his belt, he brings a wealth of experience to the table.

Plus, there’s a brand new website on the way. Cubed decided it was high time for a website refresh. Due to the exponential growth of the agency over the past year, the agency needed a new site that showcased all their incredible clients and shouted about the digital marketing services it offers to higher education institutions. The new site will be unveiled in early April.

The Tab

The Tab has launched its inaugural 'Captain of the year' in association with Teach First - a nationwide search for the best sports captain at uni, as voted for by students.  With over 350 nominations, all nominees were profiled and sent back out to our audience on a custom built site to vote.  Voting was live for 14 days with the site drawing 220,000 page views and a massive 76,000 votes.  The big top 20 reveal will take place on March 14th along with an event at TeachFirst in London to announce the winner.

MK Jobs Newspaper

Focusing on Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, MK Jobs aims to help solve the technology recruitment challenges of Central England. Milton Keynes is well known for its technology focussed businesses, including automotive engineering, aviation and railways development, computer sciences, pharmaceutical development and financial services.  The new MK Jobs Newspaper will offer local employers a highly targeted publication that is widely circulated throughout the region and is only picked-up by actual job seekers.


Fonemedia has launched it’s new ‘Giving Back’ programme for its team across the UK. The initiative which forms part of every staff member’s personal development plan aims to bring the team together to give back to people, communities and organisations which need help. On Saturday 24th Feb, the team at Fonemedia completed a 5km run in Huddersfield, raising £2000 for charity. Fonemedia is topping up their sponsorship with an additional £500. The team is supporting St Ann’s Hospice, Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society and Parkinson’s UK - charities all very close to their hearts.  The next stage in ‘Giving Back’ will take the form of volunteering for local community projects and organisations which need assistance and input from others. Fonemedia is providing additional days’ holiday to enable the team to really make a difference to those who need help.

FlexIsBest launched in February in response to the many followers of the & movement on Facebook and LinkedIn who loved the #FlexibleWorking opportunities, but didn’t have kids.   Positioning itself as THE advocate of ‘Pay for Productivity’ and #FlexibleWorking for Gen Z, Millennials, Carers of Elderly Parents, as well as everyone else who doesn’t want to conform to the traditional 9to5, launched with great support from a wide selection of flexible employers and in direct response to the 70% of UK workers who want to work flexibly.


RadioWorks has created a recruitment campaign for their regional office using Spotify’s new Ad Studio Service – an online platform for buying Spotify audio campaigns, which has only recently been publicly launched in the UK.   RadioWorks have been working with Spotify to create audio advertising campaigns for nearly 10 years and their expertise in the audio advertising field has meant that they were one of the first to test out the new Ad Studio prior to public launch.  RadioWorks are currently running a recruitment campaign to find the perfect candidate to join them in the company’s regional office in Carlisle.
