Welcome to our round-up of news and announcements from the media world.


Milkround’s existing account managers and business executives have been joined by new strategic account managers Michael Maunsell (previously with The Stage Media Company) and Shehra Ali (previously with Econsultancy) to offer 360-degree support in the creation of large-scale graduate recruitment campaigns.

These roles are dedicated to defining, creating, and leading future talent drives for clients, offering creative solutions with complete support from start to finish on their employer brand campaigns.

Additionally, Milkround’s account managers are employing a new, more strategic focus, enabling them to share useful insights into candidate activity and campaign performance with clients and agencies.

With these changes in place under the continued leadership of Milkround’s head of sales, Sarah-Jane McQueen, Milkround’s clients can expect a tailored service, for one-off recruitment drives or long-term campaigns.

Jobs4 Network

Jobs4 Network recently worked with Adecco and Amazon to attract and recruit candidates for seasonal roles across their fulfilment centres. Online and offline campaigns were delivered to promote the roles to a targeted local audience.

In addition, Aldi is currently advertising with Jobs4 Network for its high-volume retail store recruitment campaign, advertising roles from store assistants to store managers. This is an ongoing campaign on Jobs4 with job listings, homepage display and targeted email activity.


Following a successful move out of the city and into North Greenwich Gorkana Jobs is growing. Chris Pottinger recently joined from the Law Society, adding to Ashley Richardson’s current team. The whole team can be contacted on to discuss any media/PR related roles.

The Tab

The Tab has been working in partnership with Barclays on The Future 100. On 20 March voting will open for university students up and down the country to nominate the young women at university they deem to be most likely to have amazing success after graduating. Over 600 nominations have been put forward and after the public vote The Tab will produce a top 100 list in accordance with Barclays.

Also, this month The Tab has produced and promoted two videos for Unilever and Uniqlo. Built by The Tab’s in-house creative team, these videos have averaged over 150,000 views and 600 clicks each, with both directing viewers through to find out more about the schemes.


In late 2016 Gumtree partnered with KISS FM on its biggest campaign of the year, The KISS Chosen One. Over a high-profile six-week journey of on-air campaigns and events, Gumtree and KISS FM gave young people the chance to be the next KISS radio presenter.

To help backstage at auditions Gumtree recruited a behind-the-scenes team with opportunities to get involved in production, construction, social media and endless other areas.

After a high-profile process Swarzy Macaly was named winner and now she’s got her own show on KISS Fresh every weekend. Since then she’s interviewed Craig David, met some really cool people, launched a fantastic career and she #GotItOnGumtree.

The partnership successfully targeted young people looking for jobs and enabled Gumtree to showcase the range of job opportunities it offers.


Technojobs has had a number of additions to its network of now 31 niche jobsites. These include, and  Technojobs has seen a significant rise in demand for these specific sectors and has found the new sites to be extremely beneficial additions to their network. 

As well as these niche jobsites, Technojobs has introduced another new site focusing on women in technology: This site is dedicated to women who are already working in the tech sector and those who are interested in joining the IT and tech sector. The site includes career advice, latest tech news, case studies, employer profiles and a job search. Technojobs has witnessed the huge demand for women in the tech sector and hope that by building the site, it can highlight the benefits of working in tech for women and encourage women to join the sector.


Fonemedia has seen a busy start to 2017. The team made a £5,000 donation to Behind Closed Doors - a charity in Leeds helping those people suffering from Domestic Violence.

And on the business-front, the team continues to grow, with the addition of a number of key members. Nicola Taylor has joined as business development manager and Lucy Thompson has joined as campaign delivery executive, keeping clients up to date on how their campaigns are performing. Joanne Drew has also joined the Fonemedia family as client account manager.

Fonemedia is also just about to launch a new range of education products which will operate on a lead-based platform - more news to come shortly on this one.
