Martin Bojam RIP

Ri5 has received the sad news that Martin Bojam, long-time friend, contributor and supporter of higher education marketing and recruitment, has died after a short illness.

Having graduated from LSE, Martin worked in marketing and advertising agencies, spending the last 20 years of his career focused on higher education. After periods at JWT, 360 Education and Penna, he formally retired in 2016, but he continued to contribute to the sector through consultancy projects alongside advisory board-level appointments at Pickle Jar Communications, Education Cubed and Penna.

Above all, Martin will be remembered as a kind, insightful and loyal friend and colleague.

The funeral will take place on Friday 10th May at Bushey Cemetery, Little Bushey Lane, Bushey, Hertfordshire, WD23 3TP.

It’s the saddest news. Martin was just a lovely chap - helpful, kind, thoughtful. He was hugely knowledgeable and has been a great friend to me - and many others in the sector. My heart goes out to Sue, his wife. I will miss him.

Martin was as everyone has said, a real gentlemen, he gave so much to the people he worked with, both those in his own organisation and those he considered competitors as he truly believed everyone had something to share. Martin will be missed immensely and my condolences go out to Sue and his family at this very sad time. Much love Martin xx Simon

Really sad to hear this news. I have many fond memories of Martin, from when we worked together at Rada / JWT and through his time at 360 / Penna. He was always generous with his time and advice. Work aside, I enjoyed our lunches, always with a glass of wine and hearing about his exotic cruises 😊 He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Martin regularly in my role at the THE. Never a bad word to be said about anybody or anything. I enjoyed immensely our long conversations about god knows what over a bottle or two at lunch. A charming gentle man! RIP

Very sad news. I also have good memories of working with Martin when we recruited him to run the new Education team at Rada/JWT. Nice man with a kind heart. My thoughts with his family & friends.
