LinkedIn Top Companies 2018

LinkedIn has released this year’s UK Top Companies to work for in the UK.

The Top Companies list is based on the billions of actions taken by LinkedIn members and looks at four main pillars: interest in the company, engagement with the company’s employees, job demand and employee retention.

After a challenging year for the British high-street, significantly fewer high-street retail chains feature on this year’s list; instead, online retailers such as ASOS.com and Amazon have climbed the rankings. Meanwhile, the luxury retail market continues to succeed in attracting the top talent, with brands including Richemont, Kering, Selfridges and L’Oréal making the list.

Despite uncertainty following Brexit, the UK’s financial services continue to be attractive to talent, with Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Barclays and JPMorgan Chase entering the list this year. Four professional services businesses also joined the list for the first time – McKinsey & Company, EY, Accenture, and Boston Consulting – following the fastest growth in business volumes across the sector since August 2015.

Holly Middlemiss, Talent Brand & Engagement Partner at ASOS, commented: “Our ASOSers live and breathe our values of authenticity, creativity and bravery in everything they do. It’s equally important for us reflect these through our employer brand, bringing to life our unique culture internally and externally. At ASOS we do things not just to simply tick a box – rather, we genuinely care, we want to do the right thing and see the value in doing so. You spend a majority of your life at work, so why shouldn’t it be with a company you love, where you believe you’re making a positive difference and feel truly valued?”
