Katrina Harvey (Rostrup) RIP

Katrina Harvey (Rostrup) RIP

It is with sadness that we report the passing away of Katrina Harvey (Rostrup), one of the founders of Amberjack, following a short illness.

Sophie Meaney, Managing Director, sent Ri5 the following announcement:

Katrina ran Amberjack’s Assessment Consulting and Business Development teams until 2009.  Since then she has remained actively engaged with the business both as a main board director and a shareholder.  She has always been hugely supportive in each new phase of the Amberjack adventure.

Those of you who knew and worked with Katrina will share in our shock and sadness that such a wonderful, vibrant, passionate friend and advocate of our business is no longer with us.  She has been an immense support to her colleagues on the board and we will miss her hugely. She was not only our colleague but our very dear friend.

Should anyone wish to make a donation in her name, Katrina was a Trustee and huge supporter of Time to Talk: https://t2twb.org/.

I worked with Katrina at Barkers / BNB. What devastating news. What great memories I have though of a lovely woman with a terrific laugh. A lot of those memories recall terrific lunches and AGR conferences late in the night at Celtic Manor. RIP my friend

My thoughts are with Katrina’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. I had the privilege of working with Katrina during our time working for Austin Knight. Katrina was an exceptional talent and a lovely, genuine person. We had great, fun times working together particularly when the pressure was on. That’s when her great sense of humour rose (like herself) to the very top! RIP Katrina you’ll be sorely missed by all that knew you.

Like Colin, I remember Katrina from the AK days and, despite it being years ago, was genuinely shocked and saddened to hear this news.

In common with everyone who came into contact with Katrina it is with great sadness to hear this news. For someone who was always the life and soul of any party as well as the consummate professional in business meetings Katrina will be remembered as a star.

Devastated to hear this. I also had the privilege of working with Katrina - such a wonderful, fun and talented friend and colleague who will be sorely missed by so many.

Truly sad news. I will always fondly remember my time working with Katrina, at Barkers and then supporting each other as we rode the trials and tribulations of launching our respective fledgling companies in the early noughties. And not forgetting the many AGR conferences where we’d spend hours putting the world to rights. She was the brightest of spirits who worked tirelessly and, regardless of the intensity of a situation, that smile was never far away. My deepest condolences to her family, friends, colleagues at Amberjack.

Thank you for all your comments. We are planning a celebration of Katrina's life in the coming months and would love to see you all there. Will share details when organised.

So sorry to hear this. Remember my days fondly of sharing an office with Katrina at Austin Knight and our laughter and fun both in work and outside! A great professional. Thinking of her family at this sad time.
