Hodes holds on to Royal Mail

Bernard Hodes has retained its status as Royal Mail Group's recruitment communications partner following a highly competitive pitch process.  Eight agencies were invited to tender, with three presenting at the final stage.

The contract involves working with all parts of the group - Letters, Parcelforce and Post Office Ltd - on recruitment communications for all hires.  In addition to the attraction of front-line and seasonal staff, management, graduates and apprentices, it will entail the ongoing development of Royal Mail's employer brand and the continuing evolution of its web and candidate management offering.

"The Hodes team is thrilled to retain this hugely important business," said Cassie Sissons, head of client services at Hodes.  "Royal Mail is on a journey to become a more flexible and diverse employer.  We feel passionate and excited about our continued involvement in guiding and supporting them on that journey."

Alison Hodgson, Royal Mail's director of talent and resourcing, commented: "This tender decision for Royal Mail is a business-critical milestone.  I would personally like to publicly thank all companies who invested time and resource in to responding to our tender and in particular to Barkers, Hodes & Euro RSCG Riley for their very impressive work at the pitch process.  The commitment and hard work was clear for all to see and we at Royal Mail very much appreciate the energy and passion from all three companies.

"I am delighted to announce that Hodes have been reappointed the contract for services with Royal Mail and indeed am confident that we have arrived at the right decision for the organisation.  We very much look forward to continuing along the journey of transformation together with Hodes and so I would like to say congratulations to Cassie and all at Hodes - well done everybody!"
