Double win for Jobsgopublic at 2017 PPMAs

Jobsgopublic, the first online job board dedicated to the public and not-for-profit sectors, picked up two awards at this year’s PPMA Annual Conference and Awards.

Held at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Bristol, the PPMAs recognise achievement in recruitment, people management and HR, and provide a forum for public sector professionals to share ideas, expertise and experience.

Having picked up awards at the PPMAs for the last 4 years in a row, this year saw Jobsgopublic pick up two awards for campaigns produced for Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Highways and Traffic service and for a Cambridgeshire County Council social work campaign.

This achievement further consolidates their growing reputation as major players in executing highly effective, large scale recruitment campaigns for a wide range of public sector employers.

Established in 1999, Jobsgopublic has become a mainstay in where sector employers find themselves faced with an increasingly tumultuous political environment, ever-changing job market and growing pressure to achieve more with shrinking budgets. This makes effective recruitment not only incredibly challenging but absolutely crucial – particularly where multiple positions need to be filled at once.

Today, Jobsgopublic boasts a loyal audience, maintains impressive monthly traffic figures, and has developed far beyond the ‘jobs board’ label. This has included the development of a catalogue of innovative advertising, marketing and software solutions and their emergence as expert commentators within the recruitment industry.

On top of this, they have become major players in executing highly effective, large scale recruitment campaigns for a wide range of public sector employers.

“We are obviously delighted” said Miles Skelton, Jobsgopublic’s Managing Director. “These are two campaigns that we feel truly showcase not only the range of software and services that we have developed but also the wealth of talent that we have here at Jobsgopublic.”

He continued “As a smaller organisation, we rely heavily on our people to allow us to compete in a tough market, these awards are a further testament to just how much they are capable of. It makes it that much more satisfying to know that we have helped two innovative and hard-working organisations recruit great people who will help them provide vital services for their residents.”

Jon Evans, Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Head of Business Support, has this to say on the win. “We are delighted to have won the award for Best Frontline Recruitment Campaign with Jobsgopublic. It’s a great example of working in partnership to achieve something really positive and a massive endorsement of the work that Jobsgopublic did to meet our exacting and ambitious plans.'

Cambridgeshire County Council’s HR Business Partner, Caroline Adu-Bonsra recognised the statement that the win had made regarding the new directions they were taking as a service. “We are delighted to have won this award which reflects the new and innovative approach we have taken in recruiting key social care staff to the County Council”.
