People Awards 2018: winners announced People Awards 2018: winners announced hosted its annual People Awards on Monday night, 1st October, at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge to celebrate the bravest and best talent initiatives in the UK hospitality industry.

The People Awards aims to recognise the UK hospitality employers that boast incredible standards, quality of service and are rising to the occasion to attract, develop and retain talent amidst high competition. Hosted by comedians Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker, the ceremony brought together over 500 industry professionals.

The UK hospitality sector provides jobs to 7% of the working population and despite the uncertainty of an approaching Brexit and a well-documented skills shortage, businesses continue to thrive. With growing industry challenges continuing to threaten the sector, businesses must work doubly hard to stay relevant to candidates in this competitive space.
