AGR Development Awards 2017 winners announced

 

The winners of the 2017 Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) Development Awards were announced yesterday at the AGR’s annual Development Conference.

IBM took home the Best of the Best accolade as well as the award for Best School-leaver and Apprentice Development Programme. The company was commended by the judges for having the most holistic approach with a strong emphasis on longevity and measuring the impact of the programme.

Hundreds of student recruitment and development professionals attended the awards ceremony as part of the day-long conference.

Stephen Isherwood, AGR chief executive, said: “These awards recognise and reward organisations committed to training and developing early talent. 

“Congratulations to this year’s winners. They showed real innovation in practice as well as highlighted the importance of development programmes in bringing high performing graduates through the business. They demonstrated that thoroughness of approach and business buy-in are essential to success.”

 The 2017 winners:

  • Best Graduate Induction: HSBC
  • Best School-leaver and Apprentice Development Programme: IBM
  • Best Innovation in Business-Led Development: Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Best Preparation for Work Initiative: University of Southampton
  • Best Preparation for Work Strategy: Kingston University
  • Best Strategic Alignment: BNP Paribas
  • Supplier Contribution Award: The Smarty Train (HSBC RBWM)
