AGR Conference: Awards shortlist and headline speakers announced

The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) has revealed the speakers for the AGR Student Recruitment Conference 2017 and released the shortlist for its 2017 Awards.

The AGR Student Recruitment Awards will be staged at the AGR’s annual conference, and attendees will enjoy a gala dinner and be entertained by comedian, Hal Cruttenden.

The 3 day event also features workshops, discussion groups and plenary sessions along with networking opportunities, and promises insight, practical solutions and advice for those interested in the quality recruitment of early talent globally.

June’s conference, set to take place from the 6th to the 8th in Brighton, will be headlined by Baroness Floella Benjamin OBE. The television personality and champion of human rights for children and young people around the world will be sharing her unique insight and perspective on issues including diversity.

Also featuring in this year’s line-up are respected broadcaster and writer, Simon Fanshaw OBE, who will talk on organisational change, and RSA Chief Executive, Matthew Taylor, who is leading an independent review on behalf of the Prime Minister into how employment practices need to change to keep pace with modern business models.

Motivational speaker and leadership specialist Darius Norell also joins the agenda, while Daniel Susskind, a fellow in economics at Balliol College, Oxford University, and co-author of the best-selling book, The Future of the Professions, has been confirmed as closing speaker.
