2020 apprenticeship vision

Throughout 2012, Johnston Press will be running monthly features on apprenticeships in many of its regional newspapers and via a dedicated digital channel on associated websites.  The intention is to run stories online and in print about successful apprenticeships, raising awareness among parents and potential apprentices alike of exactly what’s on offer.  The initiative is designed to support the UK government’s target of getting 1-in-5 young people into an apprenticeship by 2020.

National and local advertisers will be offered discounted print advertising and online listings and there will be opportunities for sponsorship and partnering.  The list of participating publications is as follows: Sunderland Echo; Lancashire Evening Post; Yorkshire Evening Post; The Star (Sheffield); Peterborough Evening Telegraph; Northampton Chronicle; Milton Keynes Citizen; The Portsmouth News; The Isle of Man Examiner; The Newsletter (Ireland).  The package includes a dedicated platform on local news sites and JobsToday.co.uk.
