2012 National Apprenticeship Campaign

2012 National Apprenticeship Campaign

The UK Government has set a target that 1 in 5 young people will be in an Apprenticeship by 2020.

To support the young people in our local communities, Johnston Press have launched an annual campaign getting local businesses to publish their apprenticeship vacancies in their regional dailies titles once a month, on a dedicated platform.

Supported by successful apprenticeship stories in print and with its own dedicated digital channel on their news sites, Johnston Press will be offering discounted print advertising and online listings, to make parents and potential apprentices alike, aware of the opportunities in their local areas.

JP hopes that they will also be supported by national employers with advertisements of their apprenticeships to local communities throughout the UK.

Sponsorship/Partnering of the campaign will also be available.

The dedicated monthly Apprenticeship page will be available at a set cost in the following titles;

  • Sunderland Echo
  • Lancashire Evening Post
  • Yorkshire Evening Post
  • The Star (Sheffield)
  • Peterborough Evening Telegraph
  • Northampton Chronicle
  • Milton Keynes Citizen
  • The Portsmouth News
  • The Isle of Man Examiner
  • The Newsletter (Ireland)

A dedicated platform on the local news sites and JobsToday.co.uk will also be part of this package.

For only £926 per month, your client will get an 8 x 4 print advert and an online package including a display listing and editorial. However, there will be only 4 advertising slots available in each of the above titles per month, and so will be sold on a first come first serve basis (Please check with your Workforce sales person for each months availability).

An added benefit for your client is that if they miss the monthly ad slots, they can instead benefit from 50% off the rate card in any of our JP titles so that you can still advertise your apprenticeships outside of the dedicated platform.

An annual sponsorship is also up for grabs!

You can request the power point presentation on the initiative for 2012 by contacting Cheney at chamilton@mediaforce.co.uk or by calling 020 7832 1697.
