Finalist survey boosts MilkroundWednesday, 11 June 2008A recent survey of final-year students has confirmed Milkround.com as their most popular graduate recruitment website. The High Fliers UK Graduate Careers Survey sought the views of more than 15,000 final-year students from thirty leading universities on which jobsites they used during the 2007-8 academic year. Milkround was found to be the most widely-used commercial graduate recruitment site, used by 35% of finalists (and thus overtaking its closest rival Prospects in the process). The survey also found that visits to Milkround had increased by more than a quarter since 2006, and that 80% of users rated it as quite or very useful. Compared to other graduate recruitment sites, Milkround also has the highest number of registered users: some 29% of finalists said they'd signed up to receive emails, representing some 24,000 finalists from the thirty universities featured in the survey. (More than 80% of students who visited the site went on to register.) MD Tom Hughes said "It's no wonder we're back at the top - final-year students hear about the latest vacancies directly through personalised emails, and the site has hundreds of graduate opportunities to choose from." The High Fliers findings have been endorsed by Milkround's own on-site survey of more than a thousand students and graduate users, more than half (55%) of whom said they visited the site at least once a week. In addition, 71% gave it four out of five for providing a satisfying experience, 70% said they'd recommend it to others, and 56% rated it as the best jobsite for meeting their job-hunting needs. All good news as Milkround prepares to implement the latest stage of its £1m+ national press advertising campaign. |
