Alan Carr to host TARGETjobs awardsThursday, 23 April 2009Alan Carr - host of Channel 4's The Sunday Night Project and Celebrity Ding Dong, and one of Britain's hottest comedy stars - has been signed up to host the 2009 TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards at London's Grosvenor House on Thursday 21st May. It's the first time that Alan's been involved in a recruitment sector event, and his trademark humour will certainly add even more sparkle to proceedings on the night. "We're delighted to be working with Alan on these awards," sales director Simon Rogers told Ri5. "We've had overwhelming support from our sponsors, and we're looking forward to making the fifth TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards the biggest and best yet." Billed as the world's largest graduate recruitment awards event, this year's awards have already succeeded in attracting a record level of entries and a record number of student votes. There are some thirty awards up for grabs, and if you want to double-check whether your own organisation has been shortlisted, click here to find out more about the six generic student-judged awards and here for the twenty sector-specific categories. "Everyone who's anyone in graduate recruitment will want to be there on the night," says Simon, "and that includes people from recruitment ad agencies and media companies as well as the employers themselves. With less than a month to go, places are filling fast - so don't leave it too late to book!"
